Assessment Procedures
Singapore International School students sit formal examinations at the end of Semester 1 and Semester 2 each year.
The examinations are set for the core subjects of English, Mathematics and Science according to the exam format and weighting used in Singapore schools.
The exams are written by a team of writers drawn from across all SIS campuses and after vetting, are distributed to all SIS campuses for administering according to strict examination procedures.

Reporting
Reporting
SIS is committed to continuously ensuring the quality of its educational programs thorough international quality assurance programs as well as recognized accreditation benchmark standards. Through the use of formative and summative assessments, SIS continually checks for comprehension and understanding and reviews its data for the purposes of progress monitoring of its students.
Formative assessments are prearranged by each teacher throughout the year to assist them through the educational development of their students and are used to assist them in implementing differentiated strategies. Presently we are in the process of forming additional common formative assessments so that we can gather additional substantial data for our progress monitoring of our students.
Formal summative assessments at the primary schools are done through the implementation of a Singapore International School Assessment program that is developed by teachers within the School system. SIS and its constituents do not use an external assessment tool for the evaluation of its students. Students in year 1-5 complete these assessments at the end of SA1 and SA2. It is important to know that Students in Year 3, 4 and 5 complete MOET curriculum for English, Music, ICT and Health Physical Education (HPE). Integrated students complete exams at the end of each Semester for the following subjects: Science, History and Geography, Math and Vietnamese.
